Lumber Liquidators plans Hampton warehouse

Lumber Liquidators Holdings Inc., the hardwood flooring retailer based in Toano, has leased two spaces in Hampton for a distribution center.

The company took a total of 515,486 square feet of warehouse space at West Park, an industrial campus of more than 50 acres off Big Bethel Road near Interstate 64, according to CB Richard Ellis, which handled the lease for the landlord.

Lumber Liquidators could build a showroom at the site, said Kim Brown, a marketing assistant for CB Richard Ellis.

Many of its stores are in industrial areas, where rents are lower. Lumber Liquidators has more than 240 locations, including in Norfolk and Virginia Beach.
